Between is a Canadian science fiction drama television and web series slated to debut in 2015 in City Canada Shomi Canada and Netflix created by Michael McGowan the series will star Jennette McCurdy as Wiley Day with a cast also including Canadian talent Jesse Carere, Wesley Morgan, Michael Reventar, Kyle Mac and Michael Boisvert and will be set in the small town of Pretty Lake where they will be battling a mysterious disease which has killed everybody over the age of 21.
The series episodes will be one hour in length and is currently set for a season one of six episodes it is being co produced and financed by City and Netflix as part of a collaboration deal the series represents the first major television solo starring role for McCurdy production of the series is currently underway beginning as of October 20, 2014.

The series was announced in October 2014 as the first original series for Shomi a new subscription streaming media service in Canada it will simultaneously air terrestrially on City and in addition be available on Netflix for viewers outside of Canada making the series the first original Netflix series originating from Canada and will be added to Netflix's Canadian service one year after its Shomi debut per a deal made between Netflix and Rogers on distribution within Canada.
